Call for Final Conference Chair

The internationally recognized Regulating the Game (RTG) conference has begun the search for its final Conference Chair for the 2026 event in Sydney. The conference is scheduled to take place from 9 to 11 March 2026 at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.

Organizers stated that each Conference Chair is responsible for leading a day’s program, shaping discussions, and ensuring engaging dialogue on central topics such as safer gambling, compliance, governance, technology, and sector transformation. The selection of the final chair is aimed at introducing a new perspective and guaranteeing balanced, informed debate across the agenda.

“The caliber of our Conference Chairs underscores the influence and reach of Regulating the Game,” said Paul Newson, Principal at Vanguard Overwatch and founder of RTG.

“This appointment presents an exciting opportunity for a persuasive communicator to help frame critical conversations and contribute to shaping the future of gambling regulation.”

Distinguished Chairs Highlight Conference Legacy

Previous Conference Chairs for RTG have included notable industry figures such as Andrew W Scott, Vice Chairman and CEO of IAG; Dr Maria Royne Stafford, Professor of Marketing at the University of Nevada–Las Vegas; Donata Szabo, Regional Head of Licensing, Government & Regulatory Affairs – EMEA/APAC at Sportradar; Andrew Gellatly, Executive Director at Alderney Gambling Control Commission; and Ian Hughes, Chief Commercial Officer at Gaming Laboratories International, among others.

The 2026 RTG event will offer an enhanced lineup that includes established highlights and new additions.
